(28/365) snowy day
The last couple of days we have gotten some of the heavy, wet snow. It looked like something out of a story book it was so pretty. This picture is a tree across the street from out house. I thought it looked like angel wings where the tre e is split and with the snow on it.

(26/365) Hudson's new bed
This picture is Hudson asleep in his new toddler bed. Last night was his first night in it, and he slept all night in his own bed. He didn't come get in bed with me till about 6:30.
(25/365) Connor
This is a picture of what Connor looked like when he came home from school. I was really upset, because he said the kids at school did it. Then I talked to the bus driver and found out what really happened. He was picking his nose on the bus, and when the bus hit a bump it made his nose start bleeding.
(23/365) Hudson
This is a picture of Hudson's hand. He was asleep and I wanted to take a picture of his little baby hand before he got bigger.

(21/365) Painting the dining room and living room
I finally got around to choosing the color for our dining room and living room. The bottom half of the walls are white woodwork, and the top half was a beige color. This is a picture of a streak of the new color, and the old color beside it.
(20/365) Hudson
This is a picture of Hudson with his new "shoes". He got a couple pots and started walking around with them on his feet!

(14/365) snowflakes
This is a picture of 7 snowflakes I've crocheted this week. They have just been starched and need to dry. Once they are dry, I will work the end in so there isn't any loose threads, and add "hooks" using fishing line. Next year, they will hang on our Christmas tree.

kidneys
For the last couple weeks, my right kidney has been hurting a lot. I had the 24 hour urinalysis and blood work done the other day. I will get the results at my appointment on Wednessday. The name of my kidney disease is nephrotic syndrome. When I was pregnant with Connor, my body didn't handle it very well, and because of the complications I had, the end result was permanent kidney damage.
I was first diagnosed in January 2006. At that time, the doctor told me I would eventually need a new kidney, but that would be a long time down the road, like 20 years. Five years have passed since then, and we are down to 15 years. I read a statistic this evening that said on average, people with nephrotic syndrome die 13.3 years earlier than they would have otherwise.
With the pain I've been having, along with a few other symptoms, I am really worried this disease has begun progressing at a more rapid pace than expected. I have 2 children I need to watch grow up, graduate high school and college, get married, have kids, and everything else that comes with raising children. They need me around, too. They need me to be there for them, not at the hospital 3-4 times a week for 8 hours at a time hooked up to a dialysis machine.
I'm so worried right now. I'm trying not to think about all of it, and just wait to see what happens at my appointment, But that is so much easier said than done.

(12/365) Connor
This is a picture of Connor making monster puppets. He had a really good time. After he was done, he carried his puppet around most of the day, kissing it and saying I love you puppet. You're my best friend.

3/365 family game night
2/365 Hudson
Hudson found some Thomas the Train stickers. This is what happens when you leave a 2 year old alone with stickers!
1/365
I hadn't commited to daily themes when I first commited to the 365 project. This is the picture I chose for my first day. Earlier in the evening Hudson was climbing on the furniture. He slipped off the bar, onto the couch, and then onto the floor. He went head first all the way down. This picture shows the outcome of his adventures.
Project 365
This year, I'm doing something I've always wanted to do, but have never actually done: a 365 photo project. The idea is to take a picture a day every day for a year. In order to make it easier I guess you could say, I'm going to do a different theme each day of the week. the following are my themes:
Monday-family game night
Tuesday-self portrait (this one will have a double purpose. I've been working to lose weight for several months now, and I still have a long way to go. When I just look at myself in the mirror, I don't really notice a difference, but when I look at pictures I can tell. I'm always like OK, so I'm still a lardo, but at least I look better than I did! So by doing a self portrait every week, I will be able to track my weight loss progress while at the same time having a weekly theme for my 365 project!)
Wednesday-Connor
Thursday-both boys together in the same chair. It will be so interesting to see how they each have changed and grown each week thru the year.
Friday-craft project where i take a picture of whatever craft project I am working on. I typically give away everything I make, so it will be fun to be able to look back on all the different things I have done thru the year. We do a lot of home improvement projects, too, so every once in awhile my Friday picture will be something we are working on at the house. I think that should count as a craft project :)
Saturday-Beckley (or whatever city I may be in that week) we always go toBeckley for one thing or another on Saturday. i know there will be some weeks thru the year where we are somewhere else, on vacation or such, so I'm going to dedicate Saturdays to taking a picture of some place in whatever town I'm in.
Sunday-Hudson
I'm really looking forward to completing this project! I hope I don't miss any days and end the year with a full set of 365 pictures. I'm sure i will miss a day at times, but even when that happens, I'll keep on trucking the next day! At the end of the year, I think I will make a scrapbook of the pictures. Each day of the week will have it's own layout. I know there will be pictures I just don't like, so I'm sure I won't scrap each and every picture. I do think at the end, this will make an interesting scrapbook!
I have never been very good at keeping up with this blog, but I plan on tracking the project here. I hope you all have as much fun following my progress as I will have completing the project!
